Wildcat Pride: Teacher Edition!

Richmond Hill High School loves to recognize the hard work of its teachers. Each week, a teacher is selected by their peers to win the weekly Wildcat Award! Each week's winner gets to proudly display "The Wildcat" in their classrooms.

This week's winner is Mr. Barker! The teacher who nominated Mr. Barker had this to say: "When I think of what a wildcat teacher of the week looks like, I think of Mr. Barker. He has been a valuable team member at RHHS for many years, sharing his smile and good mornings with teachers of the past and present and hopefully future. He may be known to many as the “yes” man due to his caring altruistic personality, but more importantly, he is an indispensable part of the excellence and success at RHHS; he has never let students or staff down when he is needed. Mr. Barker has taken on many roles here at RHHS. He drives a school bus and ensures our students make it safely home and to athletic events, even after working a full day here at the school. He has never said no to covering a class when a colleague is in need, Mr. Barker has not only been an ISS teacher but also a Math, Science, History, SPED, and ELA teacher. He is everyone’s favorite announcer for sporting events. He is always optimistic and encouraging when you need someone to talk to. Because of these attributes, Mr. Barker is more than worthy of wielding Thor’s hammer….ooopppsss I mean the Wildcat."

Thank you, Mr. Barker, for all you do for RHHS!

Go Wildcats!
